Ph.D. Professor, Born in 1968. Executive director of “Research Center for Optical Science and Engineering”, Shanghai Jiao Tong University, Vice director of “the State Key Laboratory on Fiber Optic Local Area Communication Networks and Advanced Optical Communication Systems”; He is an associate editor of “Acta Optica Sinica” and a vice director of fundamental optics committee, the Optical Society of China. He was awarded program for New Century Excellent Talents in University of China and “Dawn” scholar of Shanghai Education committee in 2004. He also won second prize of Reward of National Science and Technology Progress of Shanghai and “RaoYuTai” Optics award by the Optical Society of China. His research group’s researches focus on advanced photonics materials and devices, nonlinear optics, nano photonics and ultrafast optics. He visited national institute of Electromagnetic Wave of Italy from July From 1997 to August 1998, he was visited by Department of Physics of Harvard University as a senior scholarship from Sep. 2002 to Aug. 2003. He was in charge of over 20 research project in the past five years including important national science & technology specific projects, 973, 863, and NSFC. He has published over 130 peer-reviewed journal papers, in which over 100 papers are SCI-indexed, such as Applied Physics Letters, Optics Letters, and Optics Express.

Yuping Chen,received her Ph.D. degree in optics from Shanghai Jiao Tong University (SJTU), Shanghai, China, in 2002. From 2005, she was a Postdoctoral Fellow at Institute of Optics, University of Rochester, New York. She is currently an Associate Professor with the Department of Physics and Astronomy, State Key Laboratory of Advanced Optical Communication Systems and Networks, SJTU. She has published over 60 papers in refereed journals and over 10 invited talks at conferences. Her current research focuses on on-chip photonic integrated devices and their applications in photonic information processing, including quasi-phase-matching nonlinear optics and its applications, slow and fast light techniques and their applications, optical and nonlinear optical materials, laser-material interactions, femtosecond laser technology and applications, and micro- and nano- structuring of optical and nonlinear optical materials.

Luqi Yuan received his PhD degree from Texas A&M University with the advisor Prof. Marlan O. Scully in 2014. He was a postdoctoral scholar in Ginzton lab at Stanford University with Prof. Shanhui Fan. He joined Shanghai Jiao Tong University as a tenure-track faculty (Distinguished Researcher). His research interests focus on the theoretical study of photonics and quantum optics, targeting towards manipulating the light and exploring novel optical phenomena. He has published more than 40 peer-reviewed articles, which have been cited over 700 times, and his h-index is 16.

Dr. Wenjie Wan received the B.E. from the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology in 2004 and Ph.D from at Princeton University in 2010, both in Electrical Engineering. After short term postdoctoral research at Yale, he joined Shanghai Jiaotong University as Distinguish Researcher. In 2011, he was awarded national “1000 Plan (Youth)”. His current research interests include nonlinear optics, nanophotonics, microscopy and plasmonics.

Haigang Liu received the PhD degree from Shanghai Jiao Tong University, supervised by Professor Xianfeng Chen. He was transferred to postdoctoral research in the same year. He has been working as an assistant researcher since July 2020. Mainly engaged in the research of light field manipulation, focusing on nonlinear optics, micro-nano photonics, information optics, quantum optics and other fields to achieve light field manipulation research, and expand its new principles, new technologies and new applications. The nonlinear frequency conversion of vortex light, vector light and other special structures; Linear and nonlinear light field manipulation devices fabrication by micro-nano method; Surface plasmon excitation and nonlinear enhancement; Super-resolution orbital angular momentum optical communication system constructed based on deep learning. He has published nearly 40 papers in Physical Review Letters, Laser & Photonics Reviews, Photonics Research, Optics Letters, Applied Physics Letters, Optics Express, and so on. Several papers in Physical Review Letters and Optics Letters are selected as the Editor’s Suggestion.

Guangzhen Li obtained her PhD degree in Physics from Shanghai Jiao Tong University in 2017. She worked as a postdocrotal at Shanghai Jiao Tong University from 2019 to 2021 and then joined Shanghai Jiao Tong University as an assistant researcher in 2022. Her current research interests are synthetic dimensions in photonics, topological photonics, nonlinear optics, and integrated photonics. She has published more than 10 peer-reviewed articles, such as Science Advances, Laser & Photonics Reviews, and Photonics Research.

Shanghai Super-postdoctoral Fellow. Hailang Dai received his PhD degree from Shanghai Jiao Tong University with the advisor Prof. Xianfeng Chen in 2019. He was a postdoctoral scholar in Xianfeng Chen lab at Shanghai Jiao Tong University. He joined Shanghai Jiao Tong University as an Assistant Researcher. His research interests focus on advanced optoelectronic devices, biomedical and biophotonics fields. He has published more than 40 articles.

Luojia Wang received her PhD degree from Peking University in 2013. Then she worked as a postdoctoral scholar at Texas A&M University, Tongji University, and Shanghai Jiao Tong University, respectively. She joined Shanghai Jiao Tong University in 2021. Her research interests focus on the theoretical study of quantum optics, topological photonics, nanophotonics, and ultrafast nonlinear optics.
