Professor Xianfeng Chen, assistant research fellow Yuanlin Zheng and PhD candidateXiaohui Zhao attended the 7th STAR (Shanghai-Tokyo Advanced Research) Symposium on Ultrafast Intense Laser Science, 20-22 May 2015 in Kamakura, Japan.

During the conference, Professor Chen was invited to give a speech about “Random laser action by second harmonic generation”. Assistant research fellow Yuanlin Zheng did an oral talk about “Induced transparency via nonlinear coupling of resonances in optical microcavities” and PhD candidateXiaohui Zhao did an oral talk about “Generalized nonlinear Snell's law on ferroelectric domain walls”.
